Drive Financial Excellence in APAC: Finance Manager

Are you a highly motivated and detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for driving financial performance? The Boundary is seeking a Finance Manager to play a crucial role in overseeing our local financial health and contributing to our global finance function. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, all of which support key business decisions.  

In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to manage financial performance, identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth, and enable financial performance across all operational business functions. You will also ensure the accurate maintenance of financial systems, and coordinate audit activities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and implement effective financial practices to support our operational goals and enhance our financial position.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the analysis of current and historical financial data, provide insightful trend analysis, partner with the APAC Management Team to contribute to long-term commercial plans, and develop and maintain financial models for accurate forecasting and strategic planning. Prepare cash flow forecasts and margin analysis for projects to support decision-making. 

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions in Xero, manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, prepare and present financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statement) for stakeholders, manage post-accounting adjustments, maintain the CAPEX and Asset registry, and collaborate with the Group Financial Controller on the consolidation of financial statements. 

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) Management: Manage the generation of customer invoices, ensure efficient cash collection, establish linkages between project payment terms and customer collection cycles, develop AR tracking and monitoring reports, reconcile AR accounts, and implement processes for monitoring accounts receivable aging and minimising bad debt exposure. 

  • Purchase to Pay (P2P) Management: Support adherence to purchase requisition and purchase order processes, manage the accounts payable process, ensure proper goods receipt documentation, prepare accounts payable reports, and administer the company's corporate card program and employee travel and expense claims. 
  • Tax Compliance Support: Collaborate with external accountants to provide information and support for tax deliverables (e.g. Income Taxes, GST, FBT). 

  • Cost Controlling & Budget Management: Participate in the management and development of the Chart of Accounts, maintain a robust data structure for cost management analysis, implement budget management processes, develop cost model assumptions, contribute to the annual budget process, and prepare monthly variance analysis reports. 

  • General Finance & Process Improvement: Develop, document, and implement key financial processes and internal controls, identify and develop finance initiatives, contribute to financial policies, and support the development of annual Financial Statements. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar financial role.  
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CA ANZ, CPA Australia, or ACCA.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel.  
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and regulations.  
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
